You know that “work work work work work” song? Rihanna?

So a coupla weeks back, we’re sitting on the couch, Wes and I, and he whips out his iPhone to watch — what else — a UGA pump-up football video. “Wes! What is that song!?”

Suffice it to say the song had been out a while.

I miss a lot of pop-culture songs, and I blame it on my podcast addiction.

About the time my wheels started turning that launching a business could actually take flight, I dove poised-diver’s fingers first into the deep end of podcasts. My legs tread NPR waters like clockwork — I knew this was going to be a fit.

Here are my favorite 5 podcasts for those of us floating in small business ladyboss or curiosity land. I’ll save my David Platt and John Piper obsessions for another day. 🙂

Mavenly + Co.

Perfect for: The wide-eyed 20-something who knows she’s got a story to tell in this world, and wants to craft a career of her own volition. I’m telling you, these ladies are the real deal (and I’m not just saying that because we’re all former sorority consultants).

Standout: 3/30/15 Mindful Content Consumption with Jared Loftis

Being Boss

Perfect for: All my girls with big ‘ole girlboss dreams, from gyms and yoga-rat haven studio owners to Etsy wizards and graphic designers. These ladies rock.

Standout: #63 – Launch Like a Boss and I’m Stuck on a Name

ProBlogger

Perfect for: You’re pretty sure there are women out there who make money off their blogs. And you’re pretty sure you got what it takes.

Standout: #100 – 10 Things I Wish I’d Known About Blogging

Amy Porterfield

Perfect for: You know how some people (allegedly) see a Facebook ads or email marketing technique with glazed eyes, and some of us desperately want to immediately interview the brain behind the words and time spot and analytics and why it worked and how it was tested? Yeah, then Amy may be for you.

Standout: #99 on email list-building

The Portfolio Life with Jeff Goins

Perfect for: Writer wannabes — wait, Jeff tells us to call ourselves writers and believe that is true. So ahem, writer folk, you’ll lurve it.

Standout: #96 – Navigating the Intersection of Faith and Writing

‘Twas oh-so hard to whittle down that list. What are you listening to these days?
