Meet Ashlyn

As an entrepreneur, international speaker, mentor, and marketer, Ashlyn Carter is the premier expert for copywriting for creative entrepreneurs. She's the founder and CEO at Ashlyn Writes®, a copywriting business and marketing curriculum source for creatives. 90+ 1:1 clients, 5,000+ students, and 7-figures in revenue later, she's pinpointed what it is helps lock in half-a-million dollar launches for digital marketing campaigns.

Starting in 2010, she began delivering presentations to groups of women as a leadership consultant for collegiate women around the nation, traveling to 29 campuses and helping re-energize their organization’s brand. She’s since worked with major brands’ marketing efforts, including Delta Air Lines, Synovus Banks, Ford Fry Restaurants, and supported entrepreneurs including Jenna Kutcher, Amy Porterfield, Julie Solomon, and Beth Kirby of Local Milk.

At Ashlyn Writes, she’s dedicated to providing services and curriculum to support creative small businesses, so they can get paid for their artistic endeavors—and work from a place of rest doing what they love.

Everything about Ashlyn’s business has centered around helping women break perfectionism, stemming from a recovery from partial hospitalization from an eating disorder, generalized anxiety, and depression in 2015. A lifelong philanthropist, Ashlyn’s been honored to give back to organizations and volunteer. She’s been honored as 30 Under 30 in the Alpha Delta Pi international organization as well. Ashlyn's focused helping you leave a legacy with your story, leaning into your calling to build a sustainable creative business, and standing out in a saturated market with your words.

"It was such a joy to connect with you at Creative At Heart this week! Your talk was so helpful and really helped me dig into what my onlyness factor is and why that's important, but it was your vulnerability in sharing your experience battling an eating disorder that meant so much to me. Going into this week I had the expectation to learn more about business (and I did!), but what I didn't expect was to learn even more about myself in the most personal ways.  Thank you so much for sharing your heart and know that it made an impact on this girl. You've been such a source of encouragement to me, Ashlyn!"

- Julia Pethtel, conference attendee

"I wanted to reach out and let you know that I just listened to you speak, and I am so inspired and pumped up.

Thank you for being incredible, real, raw, and motivating. Your story is so great, and I really loved that you feel you need to do more in all of your work. As I try hard to get my business off the ground, it was so refreshing to hear your words. Thank you, Ashlyn—keep doing your AMAZING things!"
